Nothing too major but on the last trip Rob and I took, the woman checking us in at United moved us to thde first row of Coach (that really leg-roomy area right after First Class), and let us know that we would have three seats to ourselves. On a six hour flight (just for the FIRST leg!), that was haven. Naps abounded.
And at the hotel, they had upgraded us to a partial oceanview room. Very partial, but still.

That being said, the video blog things sounds awesome!!

On our first trip to Europe, we didn't know that our return trip from Amsterdam to Toronto was in KLM WORLD BUSINESS CLASS! Best. Flight. Ever. And a total surprise.

The flight was 7.5 hours, and I did NOT want to get off at the end! :)

Hope something nice like that happens to you!

Well, I've always loved flying Continental. They have a hub here in Knoxville so maybe this is where the good pilots and planes hang out, but still they've always seemed to be on time with good folks working for them. And some nice planes.

I've never had a bad experience on a flight, really, at least with personnel or anything that was under anyone's control. I don't fly all that much - maybe once every two years or so, on average (I flew three times last year which was way unusual) so people that fly more are bound to have more chances to see bad things.

Never had a flight canceled on me, thank goodness.

One funny story - I was flying one time from Newark to Atlanta, then connecting back to Knoxville. Bad weather delayed the flight leaving Newark and we were way late getting into Atlanta. My mom was going to pick me up in Knoxville, but it looked like I might have to take a later flight and had no way to really get in touch with her (this was before cell phones were popular). When my flight in Atlanta landed it looked like I had about 10 minutes to make the connector so I did the full O.J. run across the Atlanta airport, carry-ons in hand, dodging babies and hurdling trams all the way. Finally ran up, huffing and puffing, to the gateway and asked if I'd made it. They said, "Relax, the pilots from your inbound flight are transferring over to this plane anyway. They're still in transit..." So I killed myself for nothing :)
